Dean’s Paintings are Exuberant Renderings
of Nature’s Beauty and Timelessness.

Since childhood he has been fascinated with all matters visual. Earning a BA with Distinction in Art from Cornell College, IA and an MFA from Pratt Institute, NY. Dean began his career as a College art instructor teaching painting, drawing and art history. During this period he received numerous awards and museum purchase prizes.

Dean's career, post-academia, included roles as a marketing manager, contract furnishings analyst, product manager and principal in a textile marketing firm serving the architectural-design field.

Currently, Dean is the Owner and Innkeeper of the Mountain View Inn in Norfolk. In recent years he has resumed his painting and drawing. Norfolk's bucolic environment provides an ideal setting for him to create exuberant renderings of his love of nature’s beauty and timelessness.
